Take Action In Your State

Speak Up, Utah!

Utah State Capitol Building, Salt Lake City

New legislation in Utah would allow patients to obtain medical devices, such as contact lenses, online. It is unsafe to obtain contact lenses without first consulting an optometrist in person. We must keep Utah citizens’ eyes safe! Tell Utah lawmakers to vote NO to H.B. 304! Take Action here.

Take A Stand, Arizona

Arizona US state law, code, legal system and justice concept with a 3d render of a gavel on the Arizonan flag on background.

Backed by Rep. Heather Carter, R-Cave Creek, HB 2523 would extend contact expiration dates from one to three years. This has dangerous implications for the eye health of Arizona citizens. We cannot put convenience ahead of patient safety. A recent APCO study found that 94% of patients who had an eye exam last year reported a change in their prescription since their last visit. Wearing contact lenses that are not the correct prescription can cause serious and costly complications. Keep Arizona citizens’ eyes’ safe. Take action here.
